December 27 National Anthem Day
On this day of December 27, 1911 in India our National anthem was first sung by the Congress party meeting at Calcutta.
History of our National Anthem:-
‘Jana Gana Mana’ is the first line of the Bengali hymns ‘Bharoto Bhagyo Bidhata’ which was written by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore.
‘Jana Gana Mana’ was adopted our country’s National Anthem by the Constituent Assembly on January 24, 1950 by Dr.Rajendra Prasad , the President of the assembly , and later the President of India .
Make respect to the National Anthem is a fundamental duty of all the citizens in India. This habit of respect to the National Anthem is mandatory, mentioned in Article 51 A (a) of the constitution of India. Further it continued that “It shall be the duty of every citizen of India to abide by the constitution and respect its ideals and institutions, the National Flag and the National Anthem”
