Vijay Diwas is celebrated every year on December 16 for the bond of memory and sacrifices of our martyr’s brave soldiers. On 16 December 1971 massive intrude Pakistani soldiers were surrendered without resistance in the hand of the Indian Army showing a white flag. The reason behind this war because of the Liberation War of Bangladesh (then East Pakistan) was fighting to get freedom from (West Pakistan).On this day the Chief of the Pakistan General Amir Abdullah Khan Niazi, along with 93,000 troops, surrendered to the Indian Army. After a notable victory of Bangladesh, it was an admirable celebration for the Indian Army for their victory. This memorable day is celebrated as the Vijay Diwas in India. The same victory is commemorated in Bangladesh as Bijoy Dibos.
